Get Help Moving & Relocating
If you are relocating, it’s important to make an informed decision on where to purchase a home. When moving to an unfamiliar area, you will have quite a bit to consider. Buying a home is a big decision and it’s best to be educated before you sign on the dotted line.
When shopping for a home in a new community, you should look beyond the house itself. Every neighborhood has a unique personality, and the only way to get a true feeling for any community is to work with a real estate agent who is extremely knowledgeable about the area. An informed agent can provide invaluable insight that you might otherwise overlook.
My Douglas County relocation information will help you make an informed decision on areas to live that will be close to where you want to be. You will get useful information that will help you choose where to live, which schools are best for your family, proximity of hospitals, and different subdivisions all over the local area.
I have many different reports and data, such as anticipated vehicle traffic over the next few years, inventory levels, recent sales in different categories ranging from town homes & condominiums to luxury homes.
Location, Location, Location
Ask anyone who understands real estate, and they will tell you that property value is always based on location, location, location. This can be true to a certain extent. However, just as important as location is that the property provides you with the best possible lifestyle for you and your family.

We were moving to Colorado from out of state and were not familiar with the area. Jim not only made us familiar with each area and what it had to offer, he found the perfect home in the perfect area to fit our lifestyle. My husband and I would highly recommend Jim as a knowledgeable and easy to work with realtor.

Jim is a true expert of properties in south east Denver and Castle Rock area. He was always there to answer questions and worked tirelessly to help us find our new home. He was a tough negotiator and always put out best interest first over just making a sale. I would use him again and would highly recommend you use him for your real estate transaction.

Jim is one of my favorite agents to work with. He is the epitome of a hard worker and despite how stressful this industry can get, Jim is always handling things with the utmost respect for the people around him. He has been such a huge part of Your Castle Real Estate’s success this year!

I have worked with other real estate agents in the past, none as professional, knowledgeable, and dedicated to his customers as Jim Garcia. Jim met all our needs in a timely and very professional manner; superb job selling our property. Definitely would recommend Jim to do the same for you.

Phenomenal! I recently relocated to Castle Pines, Co due to a job transfer and was searching for a home for my family while commuting back to Chicago during the transition. Jim was extremely helpful in finding a home for my family. He conducted the research based on my criteria, previewed the homes prior, recommended only those that met my qualifications and arranged the showings based on my schedule. His vast experience in the industry was evident when walking through each home. Jim can “walk the walls” of any home and provide the information needed in order make the final decision. Jim is extremely ethical and professional. He ensured my family was well taken care of during a stressful situation. He had games for the children to keep them occupied and showed them the schools in the area. During close, it was evident Jim was prepared and I highly recommend Jim as a Realtor and have given his name to others in my company who will be relocating also.

Jim was instrumental with helping me find my new home! He is extremely professional with enormous integrity. He was with me every step of the way and walked me through a deal that was turning south (seller’s side). His negotiation skills are top notch and he took the time to explain every detail. I usually purchase investment properties, this time I was looking for a new home for my family. I will use Jim in all my future investments. The difference in Jim, he helped me find what I want, not what he thought I should buy. He truly has an interest in ensuring his clients are not just satisfied, but very happy and sure of their purchase. I have definitely found a new Realtor for life!

Jim is a top-notch agent, easy to give him five stars! The best thing about Jim is that he truly puts his clients interest first. I find a lot of Realtors are more concerned about their commission than they are about their clients concerns. This is not the case with Jim. He is one of the best.

Jim is a stand up guy! He was a selling agent on one of my short sale listings in case rock! He was very helpful and knowledgeable and I appreciated his expertise as a broker. We had a great closing without issues and I would love to do more business with him. He is a helpful broker and I cannot say that about many brokers.

Our family moved from Illinois to Colorado and needed a realtor that really knew the area and would listen to our needs, Jim Garcia was our man! He not only knew the area, he was able to steer us to the perfect home with the right price. He was committed to finding us exactly what we were looking for. Helpful Guide for Moving to a New House
So, you’re planning a Douglas County Colorado relocation. Congratulations! Hopefully, you’ll have the help of dependable movers. Relocating an entire household can be expensive, but using a reputable moving company will help guarantee that your items won’t get damaged and you won’t hurt your own back! Prior to the move, you should prepare for several phases that will help make your moving day as hassle free as possible.
Phase One: Before the Move
This is the time when you’ll be packing. You might want to hire a moving company to help pack your items, but this can be expensive. It’s best if you can do the bulk of the packing on your own. Check local box businesses to see if they rent containers. That way you’ll be able to avoid spending money on boxes that you’re just going to throw away.
The key word before the move is label, as in label everything. You’ll be in much better shape as you unpack if all the boxes are placed in the right room. You should label a box with Overnight and fill it with a change of clothes, bedding and a toothbrush. For your first night in your new home, this might be the only box you’ll want to open!
Phase Two: Moving Day
When the movers arrive, they’ll present you with a contract providing you with the details of estimates and the work crew. As the crew starts carting off boxes, you might want to do a walk-through with the crew chief to inspect all your big pieces of furniture. That way, if damage occurs, you’ll be protected. Also, leave out some cool drinks for the crew. A little goodwill can go a long way – especially on a hot day.
If you have kids or pets, you might want to consider some form of day care for both. Your focus should be on making sure the move is done correctly.
Phase Three: Closing the House
When the last box has been loaded onto the truck, you should make one last tour of your former home to make sure everything is out. You’ll want to clean the home, which should be easy once it is empty. Just think about how clean you will want your new home to look when you get there! Lock the doors and windows and take a moment to say “good-bye.”
Phase Four: The New House
Because all of your boxes should be labeled, it can help the movers to label the doors in the new house – especially if you have designated boxes labeled as Kids, Office, or Guest Room. Take advantage of your movers by having them to place big furniture pieces exactly where you want them, but don’t go overboard with the rearranging. Try to come up with a furniture plan in advance.
As the furniture arrives, check it for any damage. You won’t be able to make much of a claim after moving day, which is why you have to catch the damage right then and there. Finally, you’ll be asked to sign the mover’s contract. If there is a problem with damage, it should be written on that contract. Good luck!
