Get Help Moving & Relocating
If you are relocating, it’s important to make an informed decision on where to purchase a home. When moving to an unfamiliar area, you will have quite a bit to consider. Buying a home is a big decision and it’s best to be educated before you sign on the dotted line.
When shopping for a home in a new community, you should look beyond the house itself. Every neighborhood has a unique personality, and the only way to get a true feeling for any community is to work with a real estate agent who is extremely knowledgeable about the area. An informed agent can provide invaluable insight that you might otherwise overlook.
My Douglas County relocation information will help you make an informed decision on areas to live that will be close to where you want to be. You will get useful information that will help you choose where to live, which schools are best for your family, proximity of hospitals, and different subdivisions all over the local area.
I have many different reports and data, such as anticipated vehicle traffic over the next few years, inventory levels, recent sales in different categories ranging from town homes & condominiums to luxury homes.
Location, Location, Location
Ask anyone who understands real estate, and they will tell you that property value is always based on location, location, location. This can be true to a certain extent. However, just as important as location is that the property provides you with the best possible lifestyle for you and your family.

Working with Jim has been a great experience! Jim is very knowledgeable in all aspects of Real Estate and is also very willing to share his experiences. He is an expert in the Castle Rock and Castle Pines area as well as all of Douglas County. If you are looking for a seasoned top notch Realtor, I would highly recommend Jim.
Zillow Review on September 11, 2015
Jim helped me list and sell my townhome and provided the best service I’ve ever received from a real estate agent. And I’ve bought and sold homes in 3 states. He provided a top-quality stager that made my home look fantastic. I needed a few pre-sale repairs and he quickly lined up several reasonably-priced providers who were easy to work with and did great work. He was always available to answer questions and handle bumps in the road as they arose. I’d recommend him to anyone without hesitation.

He is very passionate about the real estate industry and I can see why he is treated with the utmost respect. He really knows his stuff and his clients, along all others involved in a transaction will benefit from his expertise. I highly recommend Jim when you need to buy/sell your home in the Castle Rock, Castle Pines and Parker neighborhoods. You won’t regret it.

We had such an incredible experience working with Jim. His knowledge about the market, assertive sales approach and active communication skills with myself and my husband made the entire experience quick and profitable. Our house was marketed so well with staging (arranged by Jim), online marketing (done by Jim), and plentiful signage (all put in by Jim) that our house was only listed for four days and we were able to pick our best offer. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend for any seller or buyer to look Jim Garcia up if they are needing a GREAT realtor!!

We did not need to sell our home but did want to sell and start downsizing so that we could retire to family property in Henderson, NV. We were hoping for the ultimate in “sweetheart deals” and Jim helped us find one.
We sold our home for a fair price to an investor and are still living in it for another year. Jim’s buyer signed a lease agreement with us for a one year period the same day we closed on the sale. We are able to have one less thing in our lives, the home ownership, and have ample time to continue to weed out, sell and giveaway 25 years of things that are simply no longer necessary.
Jim did such a great job, we gave him our tickets to the Broncos-Patriots game this fall.

Jim has been wonderful to work with! He helped us find a beautiful home in a competitive market. He looked at many properties for us over the span of a couple months while we were out of state. I trust his professional opinion and knowledge. It is obvious that Jim knows real estate inside and out. He is highly recommended!

Jim Garcia is a fantastic realtor. He is knowledgeable and experienced in his field. We wanted to sell an acre of land, and Jim was on it. He is very friendly and professional, and he responded quickly to all of my calls and emails (and there were many of those). He took what could have been a stressful situation, and made it work for everyone. Jim is reliable, and I would recommend him to anyone who needs a realtor.

Jim did a great job selling my town home! He is highly competent and driven, is thorough and prepared, always demonstrates integrity, and makes the experience fun with his sense of humor. He is a true professional.

Jim is the sort of realtor we used to have when more were professional and truly cared for their clients (whether sellers or buyers). It is not about volume with Jim, although he has much because he’s earned it. I’ve worked with Jim and my next transaction would not be trusted to anyone else. He owns warm clothing, has a 4×4 and works with your busy schedule. He took me out at something like 7* with wind chill on top……. As an Ex-realtor myself, I see everything I was taught in Jim and more.

I have worked with a lot of agents. In my past line of work, I strictly dealt with real estate agents and brokers. Working with Jim has always been a pleasant experience. 3 of the characteristics I value most in my dealings with Jim are his trustworthiness, his timely follow through and his honesty. When buying or selling one of the largest investments those are the things I value most.

My family and I were relocating to Colorado from Illinois. My husband and I fell in love with Castle Rock however asked Jim to show us homes in Parker as well. Jim and I spoke over the phone and I explained what was most important to me – the best schools and amazing family friendly neighborhood. My husband and I only had a weekend to find a house and I was determined to find my new home. Jim put together homes that fit exactly what I was looking for and scheduled them for 2 days. When we met Jim we immediately felt comfortable and trusted his opinion. We found our home in 1 day and signed a contract the next day. The entire day and following day he devoted his time to us and we completely appreciated his honesty and dedication. He not only was helpful throughout this experience he drove us around our new area and showed us Castle Rock. I would recommend Jim to anyone because of his professionalism and dedication to finding the best home for you and your family.

Helpful Guide for Moving to a New House
So, you’re planning a Douglas County Colorado relocation. Congratulations! Hopefully, you’ll have the help of dependable movers. Relocating an entire household can be expensive, but using a reputable moving company will help guarantee that your items won’t get damaged and you won’t hurt your own back! Prior to the move, you should prepare for several phases that will help make your moving day as hassle free as possible.
Phase One: Before the Move
This is the time when you’ll be packing. You might want to hire a moving company to help pack your items, but this can be expensive. It’s best if you can do the bulk of the packing on your own. Check local box businesses to see if they rent containers. That way you’ll be able to avoid spending money on boxes that you’re just going to throw away.
The key word before the move is label, as in label everything. You’ll be in much better shape as you unpack if all the boxes are placed in the right room. You should label a box with Overnight and fill it with a change of clothes, bedding and a toothbrush. For your first night in your new home, this might be the only box you’ll want to open!
Phase Two: Moving Day
When the movers arrive, they’ll present you with a contract providing you with the details of estimates and the work crew. As the crew starts carting off boxes, you might want to do a walk-through with the crew chief to inspect all your big pieces of furniture. That way, if damage occurs, you’ll be protected. Also, leave out some cool drinks for the crew. A little goodwill can go a long way – especially on a hot day.
If you have kids or pets, you might want to consider some form of day care for both. Your focus should be on making sure the move is done correctly.
Phase Three: Closing the House
When the last box has been loaded onto the truck, you should make one last tour of your former home to make sure everything is out. You’ll want to clean the home, which should be easy once it is empty. Just think about how clean you will want your new home to look when you get there! Lock the doors and windows and take a moment to say “good-bye.”
Phase Four: The New House
Because all of your boxes should be labeled, it can help the movers to label the doors in the new house – especially if you have designated boxes labeled as Kids, Office, or Guest Room. Take advantage of your movers by having them to place big furniture pieces exactly where you want them, but don’t go overboard with the rearranging. Try to come up with a furniture plan in advance.
As the furniture arrives, check it for any damage. You won’t be able to make much of a claim after moving day, which is why you have to catch the damage right then and there. Finally, you’ll be asked to sign the mover’s contract. If there is a problem with damage, it should be written on that contract. Good luck!
