Douglas County Colorado Relocation Help And Information

If you are relocating, it’s important to make an informed decision on where to purchase a home. When moving to an unfamiliar area, you will have quite a bit to consider. Buying a home is a big decision and it’s best to be educated before you sign on the dotted line.

When shopping for a home in a new community, you should look beyond the house itself. Every neighborhood has a unique personality, and the only way to get a true feeling for any community is to work with a real estate agent who is extremely knowledgeable about the area. An informed agent can provide invaluable insight that you might otherwise overlook.

My Douglas County relocation information will help you make an informed decision on areas to live that will be close to where you want to be. You will get useful information that will help you choose where to live, which schools are best for your family, proximity of hospitals, and different subdivisions all over the local area.

I have many different reports and data, such as anticipated vehicle traffic over the next few years, inventory levels, recent sales in different categories ranging from town homes & condominiums to luxury homes.

Location, Location, Location
Ask anyone who understands real estate, and they will tell you that property value is always based on location, location, location. This can be true to a certain extent. However, just as important as location is that the property provides you with the best possible lifestyle for you and your family.

I had the pleasure of working with Jim while at VIP Enterprises. Jim has a direct, down-to-business, hard working approach to business matters. I appreciate all that he does for his clients. He is always a positive influence in every situation. He takes the time to study out all matters before giving advice. But primarily he is always focused on the task at hand to keep his sense of direction while maintaining a sense of professionalism in every encounter.

I worked with Jim on real estate transactions several years ago before he became an agent. At the time, he owned and operated a successful flooring company. I was impressed with his work ethic, business acumen and ability to run a thriving small company. With such a background, coupled with his extensive personal real estate investing, Jim makes for a highly skilled agent that will be a valuable resource for any client.

Jim completely exceeded my expectations on some real estate deals we worked on together recently. I worked with Jim on more than one very tough short sale transaction as well as other normal real estate deals. I really appreciate JIm’s commitment to integrity and for professionally managing his deals. In addition, his courteous and friendly manner recently made a rather difficult situation much more tenable and led to a successful closing and satisfied customers on a short sale that seemed impossible from the start. It is rare in today’s world that we see professionals with such commitment to excellence while being fun and pleasant to work with. Way to go Jim!

Jim is an expert in the local real-estate community and really goes above and beyond in his efforts to both educate and assist home buyers. Specifically, I wanted to start in single-family home rentals and Jim is the only reason I now own a rental home and have it rented. Jim provided in-depth market intelligence regarding bank foreclosures, short sales, relative home values, and education around what makes a home rentable in various neighborhoods. Finally, Jim was instrumental in finding and qualifying my renters as well as providing not only the lease documents but also encouragement and advice for property management and risk exposure. If you want integrity, expertise, and an infectious enthusiasm while you look for a house give Jim a call.

Jim mapped out a list of 9 houses I wanted to see and we got through all of them in a couple of hours. He was even able to line up 1 additional home that we just happened to see in our travels that same day. He was very patient with me and answered all of my questions. I would definitely recommend Jim to a friend.

Jim is the best person I’ve ever worked with! He knows his business inside and out. So many agents don’t even do what they tell others to do, but Jim does and he does it well!

He has the the best character and integrity, and he is always communicating with me so I know what’s going on at all times. He’s also great with thinking outside the box for getting a deal done and finding the best fit for me as a client…not just trying to get a commission.

I’m so glad Jim is on my side and I would recommend him to anyone!

Helpful Guide for Moving to a New House

So, you’re planning a Douglas County Colorado relocation. Congratulations! Hopefully, you’ll have the help of dependable movers. Relocating an entire household can be expensive, but using a reputable moving company will help guarantee that your items won’t get damaged and you won’t hurt your own back! Prior to the move, you should prepare for several phases that will help make your moving day as hassle free as possible.

Phase One: Before the Move
This is the time when you’ll be packing. You might want to hire a moving company to help pack your items, but this can be expensive. It’s best if you can do the bulk of the packing on your own. Check local box businesses to see if they rent containers. That way you’ll be able to avoid spending money on boxes that you’re just going to throw away.

The key word before the move is label, as in label everything. You’ll be in much better shape as you unpack if all the boxes are placed in the right room. You should label a box with Overnight and fill it with a change of clothes, bedding and a toothbrush. For your first night in your new home, this might be the only box you’ll want to open!

Packing Boxes For Relocation

Phase Two: Moving Day
When the movers arrive, they’ll present you with a contract providing you with the details of estimates and the work crew. As the crew starts carting off boxes, you might want to do a walk-through with the crew chief to inspect all your big pieces of furniture. That way, if damage occurs, you’ll be protected. Also, leave out some cool drinks for the crew. A little goodwill can go a long way – especially on a hot day.

If you have kids or pets, you might want to consider some form of day care for both. Your focus should be on making sure the move is done correctly.

Phase Three: Closing the House
When the last box has been loaded onto the truck, you should make one last tour of your former home to make sure everything is out. You’ll want to clean the home, which should be easy once it is empty. Just think about how clean you will want your new home to look when you get there! Lock the doors and windows and take a moment to say “good-bye.”

Phase Four: The New House
Because all of your boxes should be labeled, it can help the movers to label the doors in the new house – especially if you have designated boxes labeled as Kids, Office, or Guest Room. Take advantage of your movers by having them to place big furniture pieces exactly where you want them, but don’t go overboard with the rearranging. Try to come up with a furniture plan in advance.

As the furniture arrives, check it for any damage. You won’t be able to make much of a claim after moving day, which is why you have to catch the damage right then and there. Finally, you’ll be asked to sign the mover’s contract. If there is a problem with damage, it should be written on that contract. Good luck!
