Douglas County Colorado Relocation Help And Information

If you are relocating, it’s important to make an informed decision on where to purchase a home. When moving to an unfamiliar area, you will have quite a bit to consider. Buying a home is a big decision and it’s best to be educated before you sign on the dotted line.

When shopping for a home in a new community, you should look beyond the house itself. Every neighborhood has a unique personality, and the only way to get a true feeling for any community is to work with a real estate agent who is extremely knowledgeable about the area. An informed agent can provide invaluable insight that you might otherwise overlook.

My Douglas County relocation information will help you make an informed decision on areas to live that will be close to where you want to be. You will get useful information that will help you choose where to live, which schools are best for your family, proximity of hospitals, and different subdivisions all over the local area.

I have many different reports and data, such as anticipated vehicle traffic over the next few years, inventory levels, recent sales in different categories ranging from town homes & condominiums to luxury homes.

Location, Location, Location
Ask anyone who understands real estate, and they will tell you that property value is always based on location, location, location. This can be true to a certain extent. However, just as important as location is that the property provides you with the best possible lifestyle for you and your family.

A Few of My Client Reviews

Barry Wolf

I have recently begun working with Jim and managing his real estate investment portfolio. Since the initial meeting, I have been exposed to how he deals with his real estate clients and am impressed each time. He absolutely looks out for them whether buying or selling. He is always looking for that next edge up to showcase his listings. Jim personifies the agent that I have always heard people describe that they want: ethical, outgoing, trustworthy, and knowledgable. Even though I am another company, I would definitely recommend Jim to clients as another local expert!

We have worked with Jim over the last month and he has been very helpful. We were very impressed with his knowledge of homes from his past experience as a contractor. This came in handy several times as we looked at foreclosed homes. Jim saw things that we wouldn’t have seen without him.

He has made this whole process very easy and we are extremely grateful for all of his help along the way! We are definitely going to call him up when we need to find a bigger place. I would recommend Jim to anyone who is looking for a real estate agent who is honest, genuine and listens to what you want in a home!!!

Jim was such a wonderful help in finding us a great home! He was able to spot things in homes due to his background in contracting. This saved us from potentially buying a money pit.

He has made the process very simple and easy to understand. We will definitely use Jim again in the future when we need a bigger home. I recommed Jim to anyone who is looking for a knowledgable, geniune and honest real estate agent who will listen to what you are looking for. He will tell you the truth about each home when it comes to the price, location and if there is any possibility for equity to be built into the home.

Jim has extraordinary knowledge of the Douglas County real estate market, and especially the higher end properties from 500k to more than $2,000,000. He is an expert in bank foreclosures and in analyzing a property’s current value in the market. This knowledge is a great benefit to both Buyers and Sellers.

As a Realtor who also has contractor experience, Jim Garcia was able to steer me to a great place to live and point out the structural problems in other houses. He would let me know if the price was too high for the property, what to expect in the neighborhood as to it’s safety, etc. He is not the typical real estate agent that is trying to sell you a house. He sells you a home. The one that is perfect for you and your lifestyle. I highly recommend Jim Garcia as your real estate agent.

Jim not only helped get in in the perfect place that was affordable, but while I was looking, he was instrumental in making sure I didn’t buy just any place. With his contractor knowledge, he was able to show me where some places would need more work than what a quick glance would show. There were places I wanted to see and he would give me some knowledge about the surrounding area as to whether it was safe or not. On top of that I also received good knolwedge about resell value and the true value of each place I looked at. Meaning was it over/under priced. I would highly recommend Jim Garcia as your Realtor!

Jim Garcia is amazing! He is knowledgeable, hands on and truly cares about his sellers/buyers (I used him for both)! He truly sets the bar not only as an agent, but as a person who is passionate about his customers and their best interests! If you want your house sold…take Jim’s advice, he will not lead you astray and will guide you in the right direction!!! My home in Castle Rock sold the same day it was put on the market, all thanks to Jim and his experience!

Helpful Guide for Moving to a New House

So, you’re planning a Douglas County Colorado relocation. Congratulations! Hopefully, you’ll have the help of dependable movers. Relocating an entire household can be expensive, but using a reputable moving company will help guarantee that your items won’t get damaged and you won’t hurt your own back! Prior to the move, you should prepare for several phases that will help make your moving day as hassle free as possible.

Phase One: Before the Move
This is the time when you’ll be packing. You might want to hire a moving company to help pack your items, but this can be expensive. It’s best if you can do the bulk of the packing on your own. Check local box businesses to see if they rent containers. That way you’ll be able to avoid spending money on boxes that you’re just going to throw away.

The key word before the move is label, as in label everything. You’ll be in much better shape as you unpack if all the boxes are placed in the right room. You should label a box with Overnight and fill it with a change of clothes, bedding and a toothbrush. For your first night in your new home, this might be the only box you’ll want to open!

Packing Boxes For Relocation

Phase Two: Moving Day
When the movers arrive, they’ll present you with a contract providing you with the details of estimates and the work crew. As the crew starts carting off boxes, you might want to do a walk-through with the crew chief to inspect all your big pieces of furniture. That way, if damage occurs, you’ll be protected. Also, leave out some cool drinks for the crew. A little goodwill can go a long way – especially on a hot day.

If you have kids or pets, you might want to consider some form of day care for both. Your focus should be on making sure the move is done correctly.

Phase Three: Closing the House
When the last box has been loaded onto the truck, you should make one last tour of your former home to make sure everything is out. You’ll want to clean the home, which should be easy once it is empty. Just think about how clean you will want your new home to look when you get there! Lock the doors and windows and take a moment to say “good-bye.”

Phase Four: The New House
Because all of your boxes should be labeled, it can help the movers to label the doors in the new house – especially if you have designated boxes labeled as Kids, Office, or Guest Room. Take advantage of your movers by having them to place big furniture pieces exactly where you want them, but don’t go overboard with the rearranging. Try to come up with a furniture plan in advance.

As the furniture arrives, check it for any damage. You won’t be able to make much of a claim after moving day, which is why you have to catch the damage right then and there. Finally, you’ll be asked to sign the mover’s contract. If there is a problem with damage, it should be written on that contract. Good luck!
