The Douglas County Sheriff Department offers a multitude of services for the Castle Rock and Castle Pines Community. The Douglas County Sheriff Department provides an Emergency Page that informs you in a timely manner of any disaster or large scale emergency. They also share emergency information on Twitter and the Douglas County Sheriff Office (DCSDO) Facebook page. You can also check out the Sheriff’s News Room for the latest news and information. Additional information can also be found through press conferences and public and community meetings. These meetings let you know the location of officials who will inform you of any evacuation and safety plans.

Departments and Programs

The Divisions Department offers support services to departments such as Patrol, Inmates, Animal Services and Emergency Management.

The Detention Services are located in the Robert A Christensen Justice Center. These services include but are not limited to Detention, Investigations, Patrol and Animal services.

The Program Department is an awesome resource for the community in particular. The programs available are Community Resources, Internet Safety Information, School and Youth Programs, Crises Intervention Teams, Community Safety Volunteers, Mediation and more.

The Services Department is a great place get a concealed handgun permit, online citizen and accident reporting, VIN inspections, special needs registries, Immigration Tip line and sex offender registry.
