If you like shopping and you live in or near the Castle Rock, Colorado area, you are in luck! The Promenade at Castle Rock is one of the largest master planned shopping areas currently under construction in the United States. The shopping center is located at I-25 and Highway 85 near the Outlets at Castle Rock.
When complete, the newly developed shopping area is expected to draw visitors and shoppers from near and far. Residents living in close proximity to the Promenade will benefit from the many stores, restaurants, and community conveniences that the Promenade will offer.
Once completed, it will offer a greatly enhanced shopping experience for residents and visitors alike. Even though the Promenade is still under construction, some retailers and restaurants are already open for business.
Some of the retailers and restaurants currently open (or slated to open soon) include: Kneaders Bakery & Cafe, AT&T, Tokyo Joe’s, The Joint, Bar Nails & Spa, Cafe Rio, Mad Greens, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Mod Pizza, Smashburger, Waxing in the City, and Elements Massage.
Also slated to open within the next year are larger stores such as Berry Blendz, Ulta, Sports Authority, and TJ Maxx/Homegoods. When the names of additional/future businesses become available, they will be listed on the Promenade Shopping Center’s website.
How Big is the Promenade at Castle Rock?
After construction is finished, the shopping center will cover approximately 166 acres. Construction is slated to conclude in 2018. However, retail shops, restaurants and other outdoor community areas will open on a continuous basis as soon as each is ready.
The Promenade will consist of four districts: 1) The Front Porch will be an area that will feature the feeling of a farmer’s market with a community dining area, 2) The Merc will feature an outdoor theater, gardens, an amphitheater and cafes, 3) The Town Square will be the center of the shopping center, and 4) The Village will feature the area’s restaurant row.
Why Such a Large Shopping Center?
The Promenade is going to provide a multitude of amenities to the residents and surrounding areas. As the local population and all of Douglas County continues to grow, a new and convenient shopping area will help meet the needs of the individuals who live in the area. The Center also serves as a true shopping destination for visitors.
