Fishing fanatics, outdoor enthusiasts, and film buffs will love the “Fly Fishing Film Tour” (F3T), a show that celebrates fly-fishing. With films depicting the diverse ways fishing is practiced and enjoyed around the world, F3T aims to delight, educate, and inspire both fly-fishing pros and amateurs alike. The tour’s title sponsors are Yeti, Costa and Simms.
The Show
The Fly Fishing Film Tour, or F3T as fans call it, is now in its 11th year. F3T shows occur in dozens of cities across the United States and Canada, and the tour continues to grow each year. The largest event of its kind, F3T brings together fishermen/women and filmmakers to capture the essence of the sport, which is a way of life for those who love it—the triumphs, the struggles, the passion, and the supreme awe for the wonders of the natural world. Shows that are produced by the F3T Road Crew take place in the United States each year between the months of January and April
This year’s films include At the End of a Rainbow, which explores how fly fishing can help protect the wilderness, and celebrates the beauty and wonder of one of the most vibrant places on Earth. And, Convergence, a film which explores the relationship with water as well as the importance of family and friends and our responsibility to share healthy landscapes with future generations.
Tens of thousands of anglers from across North America attend this unique event, which continues to entertain, educate, and move fishers of all ages and even inspire newcomers to cast lines of their own. Not only does F3T allow attendees to view spectacular fly fishing films, but the organization also supports conservation groups and local fly shops.
