The Learn to Swim program available at the Miller Activity Complex provides instruction in a warm and comfortable pool with a maximum depth of 4 feet, 6 inches. The goal of the Learn to Swim program is to help swimmers feel comfortable in the water and develop their abilities and skills so they gain endurance and confidence.
Additional aquatics programs are offered at the Miller Activity Complex and the Castle Rock Recreation Center. These include parent-tot swim classes, youth swim lessons, lifeguarding certification classes, swim instructor training, and a recreational swim team.
Scuba Diving
Believe it or not, you can learn to scuba dive in Colorado! Once you learn how to swim at the Miller Activity Complex or the Recreation Center in Castle Rock, make sure to enroll in the free scuba diving class offered by Planet Scuba!
If you are a beginner, Planet Scuba offers a Discover Scuba course that introduces participants to the basics of diving. The course is free, and all that is required is a bathing suit, a towel, and a desire to learn about scuba.
