Castle Rock Parks And Trails FoundationThe Castle Rock Parks and Trails Foundation is dedicated to ensuring that Castle Rock is a unique place to live. With the overall goal of enhancing the area’s parks, trails and recreational spaces so that members of the community can thoroughly enjoy the outdoors, the Parks and Trails Foundation is a true asset!

A non-profit organization that was founded in 2012, the Foundation raises funds that support park programs, park facilities and park services.

Philip S. Miller Park Pavilions

The Parks and Trail Foundation is currently working on a project to enhance Philip S. Miller Park in Castle Rock. The park, which is one of the town’s biggest park projects ever, is a 270-acre park that includes many amenities including:

  • A 7.4 mile trail network
  • A 200-Step challenge staircase
  • A 2.5 acre adventure playground
  • A synthetic turf athletic field
  • A zip line course

There is also a commitment to add a community fireplace and additional seating in the Pavilions. The Foundation is currently accepting donations that will help make this project possible. As such, the Foundation is selling 8″ x 4″ engraved pavers for $100 that will be incorporated into the Park Pavilion’s patio. Additionally, 12″ x 24″ engraved pavers are also being sold for $1,000. And, 12″ x 24″ engraved pavers are available for purchase by any business that would like their company’s logo included. The town has created a great video that outlines the future of Philip S. Miller Park.

Monetary donations are also being accepted and are greatly appreciated! The Foundation will provide a T-shirt to anyone who makes a support donation of more than $20. For more information about the Park Pavilion enhancement project call (303) 501-0274 or send an e-mail to: info@crptfoundation.org.

The Foundation also wants to hear from you and wants to know your ideas. They welcome members of the community to voice their ideas for local parks, trails and recreational spaces. Make sure to visit the Foundation’s website for more details and information.

One of the greatest aspects about this community is their dedication to the enhancement of the area’s outdoor recreation areas, parks and trails. The Parks and Recreation Department currently maintains almost 6,000 acres of open space, 20 developed parks, and 75 miles of trails. Combined with the Parks and Trails Foundation, these organizations truly help make Castle Rock what it is today – a community with small-town charm and fantastic outdoor areas that offer amenities for community members of all ages.
