Can you think of a better way to show your heart and body true love than by participating in the 2017 Love ’em or Leave ’em 5K Valentine’s Day Race? This year’s event will take place on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Bar CCC Park in Parker. All ages are welcome to participate in this family-friendly event, and you do not have to be a resident of Parker CO to participate.
The 2017 Love ‘em or Leave ‘em 5K Valentine’s Day Race race is a fantastic opportunity for runners and walkers of all skill levels to spend the Saturday before Valentine’s Day helping improve their cardiovascular health. The benefits of participating in a 5K or 10K, no matter if you walk, jog or run, are numerous! Aerobic exercise is known to help prevent the onset of various diseases and health ailments. Also, regular exercise can help resolve other issues related to energy levels and even your mood! If you are looking for a fantastic way to say “thank you” to your heart and body, consider taking part in this year’s 5K Valentine’s Day Race in Parker.
Event details for the 2017 5K Valentine’s Day Race:
Who? – All ages are welcome – including children in sitting in strollers and dogs on leashes! You do not have to be a resident to participate.
When? – Saturday, February 11, 2017 – 10K Starts at 10:00 am, 5K Starts at 10:05 am
Where? – Bar CCC Park – 10951 Twenty Mile Road, Parker, CO 80134
Cost? – Registration and cost information is available here. The registration fee for the 5K is $25 (early bird), $30 (pre-register), or $35 (walk-up). The registration fee for the 10K is $35 (early bird), $40 (pre-register), or $45 (walk-up). (Ages 8 and under are free and no registration is required.)
Why? – Participating in this event is healthy and fun! Those who register will be given a race shirt, pancakes at an after-race breakfast, and the opportunity to win various items.
Anything else? – If you are trying to qualify for the Bolder Boulder or any other event that requires an official time, this race is professionally timed and serves as a sanctioned qualifier.
Volunteers Needed
If you would like to participate in the 2017 Love ‘em or Leave ‘em 5K Valentine’s Day Race, but you cannot or do not want to walk, jog or run, the event is looking for volunteers to help in many different ways. If you are able to help set-up, clean-up, hand out water bottles to race participants, or if you can take charge of other various event tasks, please volunteer your time to this worthwhile event.
