Castle Rock Adventist Community Garden

In addition, the hospital has established its very own community garden located on the hospital campus. The Garden of Eatin’ provides a planting bed, tools, and water to growers from the community who utilize the space to produce healthy and nutritious foods in a sustainable way. All community members are invited to submit an application for their very own personal garden. Each plot of land is $75 and growers are expected to plant something in the garden by June 1st and maintain it until the end of the summer.

From seed to soil to the kitchen table, the Garden of Eatin’ invites Castle Rock homeowners to test out their green thumbs, demonstrating an alternative to grocery stores and industrial agriculture. Some great warm weather crops include beans, corn, cucumbers, eggplant, melons, peppers, squash, and tomatoes.

You don’t have to go far to be healthy! Take advantage of the beautiful summer weather by utilizing these great community health initiatives right here in Castle Rock.
