Douglas County CO Oktoberfest events are a yearly tradition that draw residents and visitors from near and far. If you’ve never been to a Oktoberfest event, you’re missing a great opportunity to enjoy food, dancing, music and much more!
What is Oktoberfest?
In Munich, Bavaria, Germany, Oktoberfest is a 16-day festival that takes place every year between mid to late September and early October. Millions of people attend this annual event. Because it’s such a popular and enjoyable occasion, many cities and towns around the world host their own version of Oktoberfest each year. In most locations outside of Germany, the festival takes place over one or two weekends. Traditionally, an Oktoberfest event includes various amusement rides, games, contests, traditional German food and beer, German music and dancing.

Castle Rock Oktoberfest:
When: Saturday, September 30, 2017 – 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Where: Downtown Castle Rock, Wilcox Square and Surrounding Streets, Castle Rock, CO
Cost: Admission is FREE
About: There will be several food and beverage vendors, German bands, entertainment for children, and dancing during the event. Local breweries that will be present include Bubbles Liquor World and Rockyard Brewing Company. Bring the whole family to this fun annual event!
Parker Oktoberfest:
When: When: Friday, September 15, 2017 – 6:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Saturday, September 16, 2017 – 11:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Sunday, September 17, 2017 – 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Where: 10795 S. Victorian Drive, Parker, CO – Northeast of Parker Rd. and Mainstreet at O’Brien Park
Cost: Admission is FREE
About: Come and enjoy live German music, German dancers, several different competitions, German food, beer, various fun activities for children, kiddie rides, more than 100 vendors, performances, and much more. This event is great for all ages and is family friendly! New at this year’s Oktoberfest is a chance to experience the “Biergarten” under the trees while enjoying live music.

Highlands Ranch Oktoberfest:
When: Saturday, September 23, 2017 – 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Where: Town Center South
Cost: Admission is FREE
About: Presented by the Highlands Ranch Community Association, the annual Highlands Ranch Oktoberfest starts with a 5K race at 9:30 AM. The Oktoberfest celebration in Highlands Ranch includes German beer, German food, music and dancing. Great for families and people of all ages, this festival includes many types of entertainment, games, live music, rides, and more. If you have a Dachshund, don’t forget to register him/her for the Annual Dachshund Race that takes place each year at the Highlands Ranch Oktoberfest event! The Best Dressed Dachshund will win a prize!
