Castle Rock Winefest The Noble Grape

Sip and Savor Your Favorite Wines

Whether you don’t know the difference between a Chenin Blanc and a Chardonnay or you’re a Napa Valley veteran, there’s a little something for every type of wine lover at the Castle Rock WineFest. At WineFest, you can learn more about the delicate process of tasting wine, discover how to cook your favorite cuisine for your next dinner party, or just drink some delicious, hand-selected vintages with friends old and new while enjoying live music and food in the Colorado sunshine.

Most of us are a little tongue tied when it comes to isolating and describing the “notes” that comprise the complex palate of wine. How do the pros seem to know when a wine smells smoky or has subtle traces of cherry? When it’s been aged for a decade or derived from old vine grapes? Learning how to discern the many aromas and flavors that go into wine can take years—professionals have even made a career out of it—but even those who are less than connoisseurs can benefit from understanding how to smell, sample, and describe wine. And it makes for great dinner party conversation with friends.

Attendees At The Winefest

Choose your glasses carefully from among more than two dozen wineries and over 180 varieties of wine. TheCastle Rock WineFest is dedicated to promoting talented local Colorado winemakers, from up-and-comers to old standards. They hope that by the end of the evening, you’ll discover a new favorite of your own.
