4th of July Celebrations in Douglas County

The 4^th of July is right around the corner! Now is the time to start planning how you and your family will spend this year’s holiday. If you are interested in attending a festival, a concert, a fireworks show, or any other type of organized activity, you have many options.

Following is a list of 4^th of July activities taking place this year in Douglas County:

4^th of July Fireworks in Castle Rock – Beginning at sundown on the 4^th of July, the Town of Castle Rock will launch fireworks from the Santa Fe Quarry above Red Hawk Ridge Golf Course. Make sure to visit the Town of Castle Rock’s website for more information and tips on the best places to see the fireworks show.

Independence Day Celebration in Lone Tree – If you are a resident of Lone Tree or Acres Green, you won’t want to miss this year’s 4^th of July festivities on the 4^th of July! From 4:00 pm until approximately 9:30 pm, the celebration will take place in Sweetwater Park. Activities and entertainment will include live music, water slides, a climbing wall and obstacle course, games, and much more. There will also be a bike parade (bike decorating begins at 3:00 pm), and a fireworks show that will be begin at 9:15 pm.

Stars and Stripes Independence Day Celebration in Parker – From 6 pm until 10 pm in Salisbury Park enjoy 4^th of July activities, food, live music, games, fireworks, and more. This event is open to people of all ages, and many of the activities are free of charge. Food and beverages will be for sale and the Six Million Dollar Band will be playing live music for all to enjoy. The fireworks show will begin at approximately 9:30 pm.

July 4^th Celebration in Highlands Ranch – Beginning at 4:00 pm and ending at 9:30 pm, the Highlands Ranch Community Association will host a festive celebration suitable for all ages! Highland Heritage Regional Park is where the celebration will take place. Don’t miss the live music, games, balloons, hot dog eating contest, face painting, and Eurobungee! Food and beverages will be sold by various vendors and the fireworks show will begin at approximately 9:30 pm.
